• Driveline exit-site infection or driveline trauma

• Active bleeding or out-of-range anticoagulation (INR)
• Sternal instability such as clicking or movement of the breastbone

• Daily Pain & Symptom Check-In — Track pain, energy, mood, and any new symptoms to detect complications early.
• Wound / Incision Inspection — Check incision sites for infection (redness, drainage, dehiscence).
• Hydration & Nutrition Log — ERAS emphasizes early oral intake and adequate hydration.
