Restriktioner
- Active pharyngocutaneous fistula requiring surgical revision
- Hemodynamic instability
- Stoma obstruction not resolved
- Active surgical site infection with systemic signs

- Stoma obstruction or severe difficulty breathing through stoma
- Stomal hemorrhage (bleeding from or around the stoma)
- Severe dyspnea not relieved by stoma suctioning
- Saliva or fluid leaking through the neck wound (pharyngocutaneous fistula)
- Wound dehiscence or rapidly expanding neck swelling
- Signs of carotid blowout (massive hemorrhage from wound or mouth — life-threatening emergency)
- Loss of consciousness
- Suicidal thoughts or intent
