- Hemodynamic instability
- Complete gastric outlet obstruction

- Persistent vomiting with inability to keep down any fluids
- Bloody vomit or dark tarry stools (anastomotic bleeding)
- Severe abdominal pain with fever (anastomotic leak)
- Signs of severe dumping: syncope, profuse sweating, rapid heart rate after eating
- Sudden shortness of breath or chest pain (PE)
