Restitutionens faser
Fase 1: Phase 1: Weeks 0-5 (Uge 0–5)
Restriktioner:
- Suspected basilar skull fracture (risk of intracranial placement)
- Severe midface trauma
- Known esophageal stricture without dilation
- Recent esophageal or gastric surgery where tube passage could disrupt suture lines

- Sudden onset of coughing, choking, or respiratory distress (tube may have migrated into airway)
- Tube comes up partially and patient re-swallows it or pushes it back (risk of malposition)
- Coffee-ground or bright red blood in tube drainage exceeding small streaks
- Severe abdominal pain with distension despite functioning NG tube
- Signs of aspiration (new cough, fever, hypoxia) during feeding through NG tube
