Restriktioner
- Active intracranial or spinal infection
- Uncontrolled coagulopathy
- Craniocervical instability requiring fusion rather than decompression alone
- Chiari malformation without symptomatic indication for surgery (incidental finding)
- Ventral brainstem compression requiring transoral or alternative approach

- Severe sudden headache unlike any previously experienced
- New seizure or convulsive episode
- New weakness or numbness in face, arm, or leg
- New difficulty speaking or understanding speech
- New vision changes such as double vision, blurred vision, or visual field loss
- Confusion, disorientation, or sudden change in mental status
- Clear watery drainage from the wound suggesting CSF leak
- Loss of consciousness or unresponsiveness
- Heavy bleeding from the surgical wound that does not stop with gentle pressure
- Severe neck stiffness accompanied by fever suggesting meningitis
- Bulging or fluctuant swelling at the back of the head or neck (pseudomeningocele)
- New difficulty swallowing or hoarse voice
- New difficulty with balance or coordination beyond expected postoperative unsteadiness
