Restriktioner
- Active surgical site infection
- Femoral neck fracture
- Metal allergy (confirmed or suspected)
- Renal insufficiency (metal ion excretion concern)
- Hemodynamic instability
Eksempler på daglige aktiviteter
- Range of Motion (ROM) Exercises — Begin gentle ROM to prevent stiffness per ERAS orthopedic pathway.
- Isometric Strengthening — Maintain muscle activation without joint stress.
- Weight-Bearing Walking (per surgeon) — Begin gait training with assistive device as prescribed.
- Ice & Elevation — Control swelling — a major driver of pain after orthopedic surgery.
- Daily Pain & Symptom Check-In — Track pain, energy, mood, and any new symptoms to detect complications early.
- Wound / Incision Inspection — Check incision sites for infection (redness, drainage, dehiscence).
- Hydration & Nutrition Log — ERAS emphasizes early oral intake and adequate hydration.

- Sudden severe hip or groin pain with inability to bear weight (femoral neck fracture or dislocation)
- Persistent severe calf pain, swelling, warmth (DVT concern)
- Sudden shortness of breath, chest pain (PE concern)
- Loss of consciousness
- Heavy bleeding or wound dehiscence
- Sudden new groin pain weeks after initial improvement (concern for femoral neck fracture)
- Fever above 38.5°C with wound concerns
