- Inability to walk or mobilize after the procedure
- Pregnancy (treatment usually deferred)

- Early Ambulation — Walking promotes circulation and graft patency.
- Daily Pain & Symptom Check-In — Track pain, energy, mood, and any new symptoms to detect complications early.
- Wound / Incision Inspection — Check incision sites for infection (redness, drainage, dehiscence).
- Hydration & Nutrition Log — ERAS emphasizes early oral intake and adequate hydration.

- Sudden severe calf or thigh swelling, warmth, and pain (deep vein thrombosis)
- Heavy bleeding from a puncture site that does not stop with firm pressure
- A hot, hard, rapidly spreading red area up the leg with fever (spreading infection)
