Restriktioner
- Active wound infection at the surgical site
- Uncontrolled coagulopathy
- Complete avulsion of nerve roots from spinal cord (requires alternative reconstructive strategy)
- Patient unable to participate in postoperative therapy program
- Severe vascular compromise to the affected limb

- Severe sudden headache unlike any previously experienced
- New seizure or convulsive episode
- New weakness or numbness beyond the expected surgical territory
- New difficulty speaking or understanding speech
- New vision changes such as double vision, blurred vision, or visual field loss
- Confusion, disorientation, or sudden change in mental status
- Clear watery drainage from any wound suggesting unexpected fluid collection
- Loss of consciousness or unresponsiveness
- Heavy bleeding from the surgical wound that does not stop with gentle pressure
- Severe neck stiffness accompanied by fever suggesting meningitis
- Signs of vascular compromise in the operative limb: sudden pallor, cold extremity, absent pulse, or rapidly expanding swelling
- Wound dehiscence or exposed tendon, nerve, or hardware
- Compartment syndrome signs: severe limb pain out of proportion, pain with passive stretch of fingers or toes, tense swelling
